A rare case of a t-shirt actually paid for, but worth it.

I got this one at a Breeders/Afghan Whigs concert in Dayton, Ohio way back in 1994.  It was a hometown show for The Breeders, and the Afghan Whigs, being from Cincinnati, had been to the venue as kids to see shows, too.

This was all before Kelly Deal had her little FedEx problem, and the band fell apart.  Too bad, Last Splash is one of my favorite albums, very eclectic, but with a lot of cool songs on it.

The really stupid part is, I thought the photo on the shirt and album cover was a strawberry, and I’m not sure I figured it out for the first five years I had the thing.  Speaking of which, it’s cherry season here in NorCal, and I need to hit a farmer’s market ASAP!  Is there a better month of the year then Cherry Time?
